The Personnel Board for Mobile County is responsible for providing personnel administration to local government jurisdictions within the county. This includes recruitment, testing and certification of qualified applicants.
Serving 22 local government agencies and their employees, The Mobile County Personnel Board manages a civil service system known as the Mobile Civil Service System. These local government agencies include most cities and towns within Mobile County, libraries, housing, health services and public sector water utilities as well as county government.
