Lift Station Mechanic

Lift Stations play an essential role in the management of wastewater, especially when gravity flow is affected by varying elevations in the sewer system. Lift stations help to prevent water source contamination, sewage backups, and foul odors and help create a healthy living environment. A Lift Station Mechanic performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical equipment used in sewage/wastewater lift stations. The Lift Station Mechanic position requires a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair work.
