Access to clean water is essential for all forms of life. Water Service Operators play a crucial role in protecting public health by ensuring the distribution of uncontaminated drinking water through the safe and efficient operation of chemical and plant control, as well as by installing, servicing, and repairing water systems. The Water Service Operator I position requires a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of one year of experience in a water service system, a valid driver's license from state of residence, and a valid Grade II Water Certificate from the State of Alabama.
